The Anselmo Family
In 2018, after a long and difficult seven-year goodbye, we lost our beloved Father, Nate “Nazier” Anselmo, at the age of 84 to Lewy body dementia (LBD), a form of Alzheimer’s disease. Losing him was incredibly hard, but we’re determined to keep his memory alive by doing what we can to help others facing this terrible illness. Today, nearly 7 million people are living with Alzheimer’s, and we want to do our part to help find a cure.
Since 2019, we’ve been hosting Nate-a-Palooza, and each year I try to create something that Dad would have loved, in the way he lived his life: “My Way,” just like Frank Sinatra said. With the amazing support of my family and friends, we’ve been able to pull off three unforgettable events. Talented chefs like Matt Swingos, Chad Witham, and David Lowe have stepped up and offered their skills, helping us create an experience that I think my dad would have been proud of.
