The 6^th Annual Nate Anselmo Memorial Clambake

In 2018, we lost my father, Nate Anselmo, to the horrible disease that is Alzheimer's. My journey with him through this disease was a long goodbye. The more I shared my story with friends, the more I realized how many people in my circle it touches, and I knew I needed to do something about it.

And what's the best way my family and my Italian culture know how to make a difference? Let's eat and throw a party with all our family and friends.

That idea became the Nate Anselmo Memorial Clambake. What started as a single gathering to honor my father's memory has grown into something special: one of the most coveted food events in Cleveland, all in support of a great cause. For years, we called Klima Gardens home, filling it with clambake dinners, live and silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle, a DJ, and the kind of community my dad would have loved.

As the event grew, so did our mission. We started a 501(c)(3) charity, The Anselmo Family Foundation, to make sure every dollar raised could go further: funding Alzheimer's research, supporting local families facing this disease, and keeping this tradition alive for years to come.

Now in its 6th year, the Clambake is stepping into a new chapter at a beautiful new venue, Valor Acres in Brecksville, but the heart of it hasn't changed. It's still great food, great company, and a shared commitment to fighting Alzheimer's, brought together the only way our family knows how.

This disease attacks and tries to erase the memories in our heads, but never in our hearts. Thank you for being part of ours.
